Natural Cotton w/ Wool Wrap Mattress

The Natural Cotton w/ Wool Wrap Mattress is an innerspring mattress construction featuring layers made with pristine organic cotton wrapped in all-natural French Wool, covered in a soft brushed canvas fabric made with organic cotton, and artisan hand tufted to secure the filling materials in place and provide orthopedic support.

Royal-Pedic has been handcrafting mattresses made with organic cotton since 1988. The Natural Cotton w/ Wool Wrap Mattress is one of our most firm mattresses, and is especially comfortable with one of our 2″, 3″, or 4″ Natural Pillowtop Pads creating a synergy of orthopedic firm mattress support combined with the surface plushness of the pillowtop pad.

The Natural Cotton w/ Wool Wrap Mattress features our Swiss designed, and USA made Royal-Flex 800i innerspring unit. The spring system is heat tempered to resist sag and provide longevity. The coils are an open ended, double offset design with 6 turn wire to provide more flexibility to body contours. We also mount T-Spring side supports to the perimeter border wire of the spring unit to provide edge to edge sleeping comfort and support.

The mattress is artisan hand tufted with European tufting straps to pre-compress the layers of padding for orthopedic back support, and to prevent shifting of materials for a consistent sleep surface.

The Double Diamond Box Spring supports the mattress and provides an extra layer of suspension for increased comfort. The center-third of the box spring contains 50% more modules to add extra support where it’s needed the most. 5-Star hotel grade wide slatted wood frame provides greater durability. Even the box spring is wrapped and padded in fabric and layers made with organic cotton and all-natural French wool.

Brushed Canvas Covering Made with Organic Cotton

The brushed canvas covering of the mattress and box spring is made with organic cotton to promote airflow and help regulate body temperature for more comfortable sleep. Softly brushed for a refined hand feel, the fabric is woven on precision computerized looms to ensure consistent quality and durability.

Artisan Hand Tufting

Hand tufting pre-compresses the mattress layers to enhance orthopedic support and minimize body impressions over time. Using a long tufting needle and traditional British tufting straps, Royal-Pedic has practiced true hand tufting since 1946—a defining hallmark of authentic handcrafted mattress construction.

All Natural French Wool Wrap

Surrounding the inner layers of padding is a protective layer of French wool, which acts as an all natural fire barrier, as well as helping to ventilate body heat and maintain a dry sleeping environment. The French wool is washed in baking soda and water without any chemicals, and the sheep free graze on open plains and hillsides in France.

Quilted to the vertical sidewall of the mattress is our French wool stitched to the fabric made with organic cotton, and with vents allowing body heat to escape.

Pristine Long Fiber Layers Made with Organic Cotton

The internal layers, made with organic cotton and grown in California and Texas, are formed into snowy white, pre-compressed layers and skillfully hand-layered and tufted for lasting stability and uniform support. Naturally breathable and hypoallergenic, cotton helps dissipate body heat for cooler, more comfortable sleep.

Quilted Support Layer Made with Organic Cotton

Specially quilted into a dense support pad are layers made with organic cotton to rest on top of the innerspring unit to prevent the above layers from pocketing into the springs for proper orthopedic support.

Royal Flex 650i Innerspring Unit

Precision engineered in Switzerland and made in the USA, the Royal-Flex® 800i innerspring is heat-tempered for durable, consistent support. Its double-offset, open-ended 6-turn coils contour responsively to the body while maintaining overall stability. Crafted from upcycled steel for reduced environmental impact.

T-Spring Side Supports

T-Spring Side Supports are connected by hand equidistant around the perimeter of the Royal-Flex innerspring unit to heavy duty border wire for side to side sleeping comfort and support.

Two Sided Construction for Longevity

Royal-Pedic mattresses are built with equal comfort layers on both sides, allowing the mattress to be flipped and used evenly. This double-sided construction promotes more balanced wear and enhanced longevity—unlike no-flip designs, which place all padding on a single side.

Double Diamond Box Spring

Features 50% more modular supports in the center-third where 60% of body weight concentrates. Heavy-duty 8¾ gauge coil wire (versus standard 9½ gauge) mounts on 5-star hotel-grade wide slat construction. Upholstered with finest staple cotton padding and heavy-duty cotton undercloth. Unlike typical foundations without give, Royal-Pedic box springs provide flexibility for enhanced suspension and overall comfort.

State-of-the-art sewing machinery ensures every mattress is sewn with exacting precision for lasting comfort and durability. Each stitch is executed with meticulous care and attention to detail, resulting in professional craftsmanship that guarantees both structural integrity and exceptional quality you can depend on.

Layering Staple Cotton

Premium quality staple cotton padding from California and Texas creates a consistently supportive sleeping surface. Pre-compressed and hand-layered, our cotton batting prevents lumps and shifting materials. These natural fibers ventilate body heat and provide superior durability compared to synthetic polyurethane foam found in other mattresses.

Hand Tufting

A time-honored craft from the 1930s, hand tufting compresses materials using British tufting straps threaded through approximately 59 insertion points per queen mattress. This labor-intensive process ensures exceptional orthopedic back support, minimizes body impressions, and prevents material shifting for lasting comfort and stability.

Tape Edging

Binding tape is meticulously sewn onto mattress edges with the same dedicated care we'd use for our own families. This precise finishing technique secures all layers, prevents fraying, and creates clean, durable borders that enhance both the mattress's appearance and its longevity throughout years of use.
