The Story of Our Materials
At Royal-Pedic, we believe the foundation of true luxury is honesty and honesty in what touches your skin, fills your home, and supports your sleep. That is why every material we use is chosen with uncompromising care, not just for its comfort, but for its integrity. From the beginning, our founder, Abe Kaplan, was committed to sourcing only the purest, most natural ingredients, long before “organic” became a trend. Today, that legacy continues with the same devotion to quality and wellness.
Pristine Long Staple Cotton
We use only the finest long-staple cotton, responsibly grown in California and Texas and prized for its exceptional strength, breathability, and natural softness. The longer fibers are carefully blended to create uniform cotton layers throughout the mattress, ensuring lasting support, consistent comfort, and a smooth sleeping surface that resists shifting and lumping over time.
All Natural Talalay Latex
Our natural latex is sustainably harvested from responsibly managed rubber tree plantations in Indonesia and Malaysia. It is then transported to a state-of-the-art Talalay processing facility in the Netherlands, where the liquid latex is transformed into precision-engineered mattress cores and comfort layers for our pillowtops and mattresses—produced in accordance with strict European OEKO-TEX® environmental and safety standards. Naturally dust mite resistant, hypoallergenic, and antimicrobial, Talalay latex delivers a cleaner, more resilient, and exceptionally comfortable sleep surface.
Exquisite French Wool
Our lamb’s wool is sourced from the South of France, where sheep are raised in wide open pastures to ensure the highest fiber quality and natural resilience. Quilted beneath the mattress fabric, this plush wool layer adds breathable comfort while helping regulate temperature throughout the night. Naturally rich in lanolin—a built-in dust-mite deterrent—lamb’s wool is also gently cleaned using only baking soda and water, preserving its purity without the use of harsh chemicals.
